My KILIG-EST MOMENT EVER! (SUPERFAN MODE)

JayJay was throwing Ginebra caps to the audience. It was his last, and very own cap, that he's about to throw when I shouted "JayJay akin na lang yan!". And then without hesitation, he walked towards my direction, and gave it to me. I almost said "I Love You JAYJAY!" but then I calmed myself and said a simple "Thank you" instead. In response, he just smiled and nodded. And then I almost fainted.---This was the highlight of my very first time to watch the PBA live at the Araneta Coliseum. I know! I'm such a lucky gal, ain't I?

It was the opening of the 36th Season of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The Big Dome was over-flowing with a raging crowd (yeah right! I'm one of them!). And of course, I'm cheering for the Barangay! Yes, I am a certified Ginebra fan! (may angal?!) And will always be one until the day I die (emoterang frog), well, I guess it runs in my blood.+

Speaking of being a fanatic, I remembered what a friend (itago na lang natin sya sa pangalang 'luckachavanaves') once said, "syempre kelangan malaman ang cause dahil ala naman akong lovelife no! san manggagaling yun aber?!"-referring to herself being inlove (kahit wala naman syang love life). She then added that maybe, her body has too much secretion of opamine/serotonin (anu daw??) causing her to feel that way. (whew!)

Okay why did I mentioned that? (wala lang, trip ko lang!) I just wanted to relate an explanation why there are so called 'fanatics'. What's with them?, I mean, what's with us?+

According to the Wikipedia definition; Fanaticism is a belief or behavior involving uncritical zeal, particularly for an extreme religious or political cause or in some cases sports, or with an obsessive enthusiasm for a pastime or hobby. Zeal meaning enthusiasm, passion, eagerness (Oh my! I'm all of that!). Though the fan's behavior may be judged as odd or eccentric, it does not violate social norms (buti naman may pambawe!)  For me being a fan is okay, as long as I don't get to hurt people, and of course myself, in the process (syempre kung walang pambiling ticket, manuod na lang sa tv! wag nang ipilit kung wala talagang pera! less hassle...less----UTANG!).

Okay, enough of serious matters! Going back to the game,it was the first game of the season, and Ginebra lose. And no, I'm not a jinx! It just so happen that the team seems to be, still, in 'limbo' (AGREE??). Oh well, it's just the first game afterall. We can always have a comeback, and indeed a COMEBACK it will be! (walang kokontra!)

Actually, my experience wouldn't been this great if not for the wonderful players (in fairness, marame tlga sila!) who had been so accommodating to the fans. To that I salute you all for bearing with us!
Let me specify those who are really deserving and had alotted their precious time to mingle and take pictures with the fans. (on my point of view/observation-syempre kaninu pa bang POV ko ibabase?)

Sol Mercado & Gabe Norwood are two of the nicest (and the cutest too!) Fil-Ams in the league. They always smile, and when you say 'Thank you' after the picture-taking, they will answer back and say 'No problem', still, with a smile on their faces. Who wouldn't fall for these two? (kahit na hindi sila Ginebra players)

Willie Miller, has been in the league for years. Got lots of recognitions including 2 MVP awards, though I never really liked him that much before (he looks 'manyak' to me-*peace*), but I like him more now. See that hug? (ang bait nya, at walang kaere-ere)

Celino Cruz may not be the most popular player in PBA, but he sure is one of the nicest! (pero may pagkatahimik sya-pansin ko lang). He really seems to be very soft-spoken, but when the camera flashes...BE THE JUDGE!.. (pang toothpaste commercial ang smile!)

(I'm just quite disappointed that James yap is no where to be found during these. when everyone was making themselves available for the fans, we can't possibly find him :( I guess there's still a next time eh?)

Ms. Patricia Bermudez-Hizon is not a basketball player (but her husband is!), but she's one of my PBA idols! She's a woman but she's working in a field where most men dominates (how ASTIG can you get?!), and I'm proud of her! She's my idol, my twitter friend, one of my inspirations (I hope she gets to read this someday..).

Though I can't include everyone here, I would like to still, thank them for their warm welcome to the fans. The PBA wouldn't reached it's 35th season if not for players like you guys (and yes! I'm proud of you because you're Filipinos!...) And because of you, I was inspired to write. Yes, this is officially my very first blog entry. And I know it wouldn't be the last (sana nga may time ulit). I hope you enjoyed joining me this day, as I enjoyed it myself...being a *SUPERFAN*

XOXO ☺ LOVE LOTS ♥♥♥ TAKE CARE SWEETIES!♥♥♥
